Screenprints

For this task we were required to create screen prints. For this we were required to choose an image and put some paper under the screen, tape the image down and scrape the ink over the image to create the screen print.

We created many different versions of this image mainly because all of the other images that we tried to use for this didn't quite come out right. There was another image of a shop sign that came out quite well every time it was used. This specific image was taken by Ali and between us we probably created about 15 screen prints of the same image. I didn't try to use a bunch of my images but these didn't quite work, they worked but not to the quality that we had created with this image.

Looking back at this image that we created I am really happy with the images  especially after my earlier images had failed terribly. When my images failed terribly I was so glad to finally get some images out that not only worked really well but actually looked really impressive and not just a blob of black ink like the others.

I really enjoyed doing this task despite the fact that at times the palms of my hands were covered in the ink, I ended up helping a few people with their images and telling how to create the images and how the process actually worked.
